12/16/2021 - an ode to sweet June

I met a woman, with a baby the size of mine, except hers was birthed, while mine still inside.

She shared her story, with smiles and giggles, though it was a sad story, she refused to hold the tickles.

In gratitude I sat, bearing witness to truth,
bearing witness to beauty, born early in her cold birthday suit.

Sweet baby Juniper,
June for short,
is blessing the earth
long after and long before.
